Hour-long torchlit sleigh ride close to the Kościeliska Valley.
The Kościelisko sleigh ride begins with a one-hour ride in 8- or 10-person sleighs with burning torches. The route leads through forests and meadows in the buffer zone of the Tatra National Park, where you can truly feel the closeness of Tatra nature.
Halfway through, we take a short photo break with the horses. After returning to the hut, you’ll enjoy a feast, live music, and warming drinks and snacks (sausage, oscypek cheese, bread with lard).
The ride lasts about an hour and takes place in traditional sleighs (or carriages in case of no snow). The burning torches create a unique atmosphere, while the surroundings of “Kirowa Woda” and the forest clearings offer a picturesque winter landscape.
Each participant receives a warm blanket, and halfway through the Kościelisko sleigh ride we stop for a short photo session with the horses.
After the sleigh ride, we invite you to a cosy mountain hut for a one-hour regional feast. We’ll warm up by two burning bonfires, while a Highlander band creates a unique atmosphere.
Snacks: sausage, bread with lard, pickles, oscypek, bread, extras.
Beverages: hot tea, mulled wine.
The price of the sleigh ride includes comfortable round-trip transport. We pick you up from Zakopane or Kościelisko, and the meeting point is sent via SMS along with a map link.
During high season, we organise a single meeting point to streamline logistics.

Sleigh rides take place in 4-, 8- and 10-person sleighs.
If weather conditions do not allow for a traditional sleigh ride, the ride takes place in horse-drawn wagons with wheels, so the attraction can go ahead as planned. The route is slightly adjusted, but the atmosphere remains the same — torches, a regional feast by the bonfire, and all elements of the programme.
Additionally, we offer a 10 PLN discount per person to make up for the lack of snowy conditions.
If there is only a short snow-free section (e.g., between the sleigh route and the shelter), we provide a comfortable bus transfer for about 1 km to ensure the experience is smooth and safe.
Regardless of the weather, we make sure our Guests enjoy a truly traditional Podhale evening surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Kościeliska Valley.
The Kościelisko Sleigh Ride is a safe attraction organised by professional operators who have been handling winter sleigh rides for years. The horses are carefully selected, calm, and cared for all year round by experienced handlers.
It’s important to remember, however, that the Kościelisko sleigh ride takes place outdoors, surrounded by Tatra nature, where conditions can change. We make every effort to ensure maximum safety, but—as with any outdoor activity—situations may arise that require caution.
Please follow the organisers’ instructions throughout the experience.
For the Kościeliska Valley sleigh ride, it’s best to dress warmly and comfortably: a hat, scarf, gloves and solid winter boots are essential.
The ride takes place in sleighs, so staying warm is important.
For children, we recommend bringing carrots to feed the ponies at the shelter.
If you wish, you may also bring your own alcohol — it is allowed and commonly chosen by participants.
During the feast in the cosy hut by the bonfire, we serve warming drinks: non-alcoholic tea and aromatic mulled wine.
This way, everyone can find something they like, and the live Highlander music creates a unique atmosphere.
The price of the sleigh ride includes round-trip transport, a one-hour sleigh ride with torches, a feast in the shelter with regional snacks (sausage, oscypek cheese, bread with lard, additions), drinks and live Highlander music.
