After the sleigh ride, a cosy mountain hut awaits, with regional snacks and a band that really gets everyone into the spirit.
Our Zakopane sleigh rides are organized close to the town center, yet away from the crowds and tourist bustle. Just three minutes after departure, we reach the scenic heart of the Zakopane Basin — Bachledzki Wierch. We then continue along a panoramic route to Antałówka, one of the favorite walking spots among local residents.
During the ride, we travel in traditional 8- or 10-person sleighs, accompanied by burning torches that create a magical winter atmosphere. Each sleigh is equipped with warm blankets, ensuring comfort throughout the journey.
After returning, guests are invited to gather around a crackling bonfire and enjoy a traditional highlander feast in a cozy wooden hut, with unlimited refreshments and live highlander folk music.
The sleigh ride lasts approximately one hour and takes place in sleighs or carriages, depending on snow conditions.
The scenic route leads through green areas, known mainly to local residents.
During the ride, we follow the historic Kuźnice route — the former Homole Road, passing through the picturesque Bachledzki Wierch and Antałówka. This route, used by the people of Zakopane for centuries, allows guests to experience the magic of the mountain landscape and the atmosphere of a true winter evening in the heart of the Tatra Mountains.
A photo stop is included during the ride.
After the sleigh ride, we invite you to a cozy wooden hut warmed by a fireplace, where you can enjoy regional, unlimited refreshments and unforgettable fun with live music. Our hut accommodates fewer than 40 guests — about half the size of traditional sleigh ride events — creating a peaceful, intimate, and family-friendly atmosphere.
A traditional highlander folk band brings the true spirit of Zakopane to life, and their music and energy quickly draw everyone into the celebration. It is the perfect ending to a magical winter evening in the heart of the Tatra Mountains.

The sleigh ride in Zakopane is a safe attraction organised in cooperation with experienced hosts and carriers who have been running winter sleigh rides for many years.
The horses working during the sleigh ride are well-selected, calm, and remain under the constant care of qualified handlers throughout the year. Thanks to this, they ensure a stable and predictable ride, even after dark.
However, it is important to remember that the sleigh ride takes place in natural terrain — on meadows and open spaces at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Weather and ground conditions may change, so we kindly ask participants to follow the staff’s instructions throughout the entire attraction. Clear rules and cooperation with the organisers are what guarantee a safe experience.
We make sure every Guest can fully enjoy the winter atmosphere while feeling comfortable and safe during the ride and the stay in the mountain hut.
For a sleigh ride in Zakopane, it’s best to dress as you would for a winter walk in the mountains or a ski trip. The ride often takes place after dusk, and the cold mountain air can be felt quite quickly. It’s worth wearing a warm jacket, layers underneath, thick socks and comfortable insulated boots. A hat, gloves and a scarf (or balaclava) are also essential to protect your face and hands from the cold during the ride.
Pay special attention to children — they get cold faster, so it’s good to have an extra pair of gloves with you, as well as their favourite snack or a small thermos with warm tea to drink before or after the sleigh ride. During the feast in the shelter, warming drinks are provided, but during the ride itself, the time is reserved for enjoying the scenery rather than eating.
It’s also worth taking a phone or camera, as during the short stop there will be opportunities for memorable photos from the sleigh ride.
Most importantly, come to the sleigh ride in a good mood and with a bit of positive energy! 🙂 That’s the best recipe for a wonderful winter evening in Zakopane!

The start time of the sleigh ride in Zakopane is arranged individually during booking, depending on availability for the selected day. This allows us to match the schedule to your plans during your stay. Keep in mind that sleigh rides are one of the most popular winter attractions, so it is best to make a reservation in advance — especially during holidays and weekends.
The exact meeting point and all organisational details are sent via SMS before the event, so participants have everything they need and can feel comfortable from the very beginning.
The refund is available up to 24 hours before the scheduled sleigh ride. After this time, the reservation becomes non-refundable — this also applies if a participant is late or does not show up at the meeting point, as their places have already been reserved.
This policy is due to the nature of the attraction, the preparations required from the hosts, and the work of the carriers and staff, who must be ready to carry out the sleigh ride according to the planned schedule. Places in the sleighs are reserved in advance, and refreshments in the hut are prepared especially for the group.
For this reason, we kindly ask for punctuality and for informing us about any changes as early as possible — this helps us manage the organisation efficiently and ensure comfort for all participants.
